About Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal
Born in Tara Village, Zanskar, in the remote Himalayas of Northern India, Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal became a Buddhist nun at the age of 11. After early studies in Bhutan, she entered the Jamyang Choling Institute in Dharamsala, India, where she completed the full 17-year curriculum in the five major Buddhist texts of the Gelugpa tradition. In 2016, she was among the first group of Tibetan Buddhist nuns awarded the prestigious Geshema degree—equivalent to a doctorate in Buddhist philosophy—conferred by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal embodies humility, compassion, and deep scholarship, offering a rare living example of the union of wisdom and compassionate action. She is the resident teacher of the Lotus Hearts Buddhist Institute. Due to current visa limitations, she divides her time between India and Australia, continuing her teaching and spiritual guidance across both regions.
